On Tuesday 4 August, high maximum temperatures are expected to persist, around 38°C or locally higher, in the lowlands and foothills, with widespread conditions of bioclimatic discomfort. Furthermore, scattered, short-lived thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, most likely along the Apennines, with possible occasional associated effects.
