YELLOW ALERT
WIND: PC, PR, RE, MO, BO, FE, RA, FC, RN
SEA CONDITIONS: FE, RA, FC, RN.
On Sunday 1 November, moderate gale-force winds (62–74 km/h) from the north-east are forecast, with temporary increases in strength or stronger gusts, most likely over the Apennines and the coastal areas. In addition, scattered, short-lived thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, most likely in the central-eastern sector, with possible associated effects including occasional, light snowfall with a snow line starting at 1,000–1,200 metres. In the hilly and mountainous areas affected by the rainfall, occasional landslides, surface runoff and rapid rises in water levels in minor watercourses cannot be ruled out. Rough seas are forecast offshore. Due to persistent wave action, localised instances of seawater intrusion and coastal erosion cannot be ruled out.
