On Thursday 26 March, rain and thunderstorms are expected over the central-eastern areas, stronger along the coast and in the Romagna hills. Snow will fall above 600–700 m, with possible brief flurries at lower levels, bringing 15–30 cm in the Romagna hills. In eastern hilly areas, local runoff, landslides and rapid water level rises are possible, potentially exceeding threshold 1.
Winds will be mainly northerly, with strong gales (75–88 km/h) along the coast and moderate gales (62–74 km/h) over the Emilia hills and eastern plains.
Seas will quickly become rough to very rough, with possible coastal flooding and erosion.
