On Tuesday 2 June, conditions are expected to be conducive to the development of severe thunderstorms, with possible associated effects and damage, most likely in the lowland areas and the western part of the region. In the hilly and mountainous areas affected by the thunderstorms, occasional landslides, surface runoff and rises in water levels in minor watercourses cannot be ruled out. During the evening, winds from the south-west are also expected to intensify to gale force (between 62 and 74 km/h) over the central-eastern hills, with further gusts reaching severe gale force (between 75 and 88 km/h) in the ridge areas.
