For Wednesday 6 May, precipitation is expected, including showers and heavy thunderstorms, initially more likely over the Apennine sector and the central-western provinces, extending to the rest of the region from the second part of the day.
The expected rainfall may cause rapid rises in water levels, with possible exceedance of threshold 1 in ridge-fed watercourses, particularly in the central sector of the region. In mountainous and hilly areas, landslides, surface runoff and rapid rises in water levels in minor watercourses are possible.
Over the Apennine sectors, especially near the ridge, moderate gale-force south-westerly winds (62–74 km/h) are also expected, with possible temporary strengthening or higher gusts.
